As 2018 comes to a close, its impossible to not reflect back and think about how this year went, and then also reflect on changes and goals for 2019. It’s such a natural thing to do at this time and I think you can learn a lot about who you are and what you want in life as you do this.

2018 was an interesting year, full of big changes for me – both good and bad. While we had some tough periods this year, such as my Baba passing away and unnecessary stressed caused by the previous owners when we first bought our house there was also plenty of good. We bought our first home after all, which was a huge goal accomplished and so very, very exciting! We also made such great improvements to our home already – it’s amazing what a fresh (and properly done) coat of paint can do. We had some good luck in a variety of ways. I feel as though my photography skills have improved, and I’ve been fortunate enough to be invited to a number of tasting events in my city of Winnipeg. I also accepted a new position at my current company last month, and will be starting one week into the new year.

So with that being said, I think 2019 is going to be another exciting year! I have some ideas and goals in mind – both for the blog and in my personal life – and I am looking forward to putting those into motion. Are they resolutions? I guess you could kind of call them that. But I prefer to just think of them as long term goals, and not worry about “breaking my resolutions”. After all, progress in any way – big or small – is still progress.

Do you have any goals or resolutions in mind for 2019? Let me know in the comments!

Let’s get to what you are truly here for – the food. I couldn’t not post one more recipe for 2018 and really wanted to share this whipped feta dip recipe with you before the year was up.

Tomorrow is New Years Eve and maybe you’re hosting a party. Or maybe you’re going to one instead. Or perhaps you are just having a cozy night in, relaxing on the couch. Any and all are wonderful, and no matter how you are celebrating this rosemary & honey whipped feta dip can be a part of it.

Lets face it, its been a crazy month. Hectic. Busy. It has been for me, and with everything going on I am totally only wanting to make easy recipes. I sort of overdid it with the baking and just need a bit of a break – there is nothing wrong with that!

But a girls got to eat, and just because I want easy doesn’t mean there has to be any sacrifice to flavour. So thats exactly what this whipped feta dip is – easy and full of flavour. You literally just throw all the ingredients into a blender and within a minute or so you are done.

When its this easy its almost embarrassing calling it a recipe because anyone could make this. Even that relative or friend of yours that manages to burn water. It’s that simple.

And like I said before, you are not sacrificing on flavour. The salty feta, the savoury rosemary and the sweet honey become one fantastic combination, where you can’t help but just taking dip after dip. Its near impossible to stop.

Pita chips, veggies, crackers – whatever you choose to dip into rosemary & honey whipped feta, its all delicious. Bonus points to you if you make homemade pita, but it’s totally acceptable to be like me and just use store bought pita chips because you really just want to veg out on the couch.

And in this hectic, busy world we all deserve a little time to just relax with some good food.

I hope you all have an amazing New Years Eve and wish every single one of you who visits my blog a HAPPY 2019!
