Are you guys tired of pumpkin spice everything yet? I’m sure not. In fact I’m diggin’ it even more right now than I was at the beginning of fall. I guess the acceptance that the nice long days of sunshine are gone has set in. So gimme alllllll the pumpkin.
We already had pumpkin pie crème brûlée the other week. Now you get to enjoy a pumpkin spice smoothie!
I had to give a presentation for work the other night. Do you ever have to give these for your job? I used to get so, so nervous doing them. All throughout university, and then again when I started my job a couple years ago! Now though? I’m not quite as nervous anymore. I guess when you’ve given the same presentation 20 times you start to get used to it, you get more confident and it gets easier and easier each time. Maybe when I have to do one on a new topic it’ll be scary again…
Anyhow, cooking is kind of the same way. Maybe you aren’t so confident in the kitchen right now. But you know what? Keep practicing, keep trying new things and slowly you will become better and better! Who knows, you might even learn to love cooking as much as I do!

Now, this pumpkin spice smoothie recipe is an easy one. You literally can’t screw it up unless if you forget to put the lid on the blender or something.
Don’t do that.

This smoothie is healthy, seasonal, and makes a great breakfast or snack! It’s creamy, sweet and will satisfy your pumpkin spice craving without being a million gajillion calories! I looove how the oatmeal included in this not only adds bulk to the smoothie, keeping you full long, but it also gives it more of that ‘pie’ taste. I think I’ll be having it for my next breakfast myself.

Pumpkin Spice Smoothie
- 1 cup pumpkin puree
- 2 frozen bananas
- 1 cup almond milk
- 1/4 tsp pumpkin pie spice
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
- 1/2 cup quick oats
- whipped cream and/or cinnamon (optional for topping)
- Add all ingredients to a blender. Cover with lid, and blend until smooth. Pour into glass and add whipped cream and a dash of cinnamon if desired.
