Ingredients
2tbspbutter, melted
1tspfresh thyme leaves
1 1/2cupsshredded sharp cheddar cheese
1/2Granny Smith apple, sliced thin (Honeycrisp or other slightly tart apple also works)
8slicesbacon, cooked crispy
4largecroissants
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F.
In a small bowl, stir the thyme leaves into the melted butter and set aside.
Slice croissants in half lengthwise and arrange bottom halves on a metal baking pan. Layer on shredded cheese, apple slices and bacon. Cover with croissant tops and brush generously with thyme butter.
Bake for 7-10 minutes, until tops of croissants are slightly crisp, cheese is melted and sandwich is warm. Serve immediately.
